Well, do you or don't you .
Move at the Oche that is.
This is a tough one, you often see it where people just have a darts shot, get the ripple 20 say and then move a little left or right for a susposed better view to get a better shot.
Well you've just thrown a 3x20 why move, everything must have gone OK to get it.
The reason for the move is usually for a better view. But is it really necessary? Just make sure it is what you NEED to do. If you have hit the 3x20 say then you will find there is less of a view. Of course there is you have a dart hanging out of the ripple 20 on the dart board. There Must be less of a view, that is why it is so hard to hit 180.
What you need to decide is that is moving going to upset your current stance balance etc. If things are going OK you are prob better off just staying where you are and aiming for a little less. Like the ttripple 19. after all, 1 triple 20 and 2 ripple 19's are 174. That is not to be sneezed at either.
Obviously there are times when movement is necessary. The tart goes in crooked and you need to hit the double 2 to win etc. So in these cases move.
But in most cases if you are not a pro Movement after the first or second shot will just make it harder to settle and throw consistently. So best not to move. Just stay where you are and alter your next dart throw to suit.
Also if you finding it increasingly difficult not to move for fear of hitting a dart out of the way or throwing a dart and knocking the one that is in there out. Look at some different dart options. Try the ones with the spinning shaft that will allow the dart flight to spin. Thus allowing tighter grouping. If you use these your view might be partially obstructed but you may still have enough to aim at and with the spinning flight any bump will be less of a concern.
