Darts Games Cricket
Is very big in the US, and if you want to know all about it there is an excellent site,
The Passionate Darter (http://www.passionatedarter.com/design/cricketmenu.shtml).
Go there and check it out they get right into the strategy.
But the basics are
Number of people- 2 or 2 teams
Aim – Close out your numbers and score higher that your opponent.
Winner – The first person to have closed out all his points, and have the highest score.
Cricket is played with the numbers 20 to 15, and bull.
Write the numbers down the score sheet, 20 to 15 and bull
Any dart that lands in the numbers count to closing the number. Double
count as 2 of the number and triple count as 3 of the number. Scoring
for 1 is a /, scoring for 2 is a X, scoring for 3 is a O.
When three of the number are scored, any combination, it is closed out.
Closest to the bull goes first.
Player throws three darts and tries to own numbers.
When a number is owned by a player, lets say you own 17, any darts that
you land in 17 count as points. So if your opponent has not yet got 3 x
17 to closed out 17, but has only got 1 mark against it and you own 17.
You can then throw a triple 17 to score 51. If your opponent then throws a
triple 17 he gets to close out the 17 (so you cannot score against it
anymore), but the extra 17 does not count. (he had 1 mark,
got 3 more and only needed 2 to close out)
